Confused about the currency, Dad paid a taxi driver far too much money.  The taxi driver refused the payment and spent time teaching Dad the local currency. This is Istanbul.  Five times a day, throughout the streets of Istanbul, you can hear the call to Muslims to pray.  The “muezzin” (holy man) bellows prayer on loudspeakers that can be heard throughout the city.
